Deck Lists
What’s up, PTCGO Store readers? I hope everyone here has been enjoying our newest Pokémon TCG set, Chilling Reign, and testing all of the awesome cards available! I’ve been doing many testing and have been looking under every stone to find the best Pokémon decks to show you. That has led me down a path of looking to the past and finding which decks from other sets have gained the most from Chilling Reign. Yup, you heard it here! Sometimes the best decks aren’t even from the newest set, and they have previously established archetypes that happen to gain a new tech card or favorable matchup. This article will focus on showcasing these decks, their strategies, and some of my personal lists! I hope these lists serve you well and give you a reason to pick up some PTCGO codes from this wonderful site! Of course, if you want to stretch your dollar a little further, you can always use code zlesage5 to save 5% on your next order of Pokémon TCG Online codes. That being said, let’s get into our first list!
ADP Zacian / Galarian Zapdos
Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX (Cosmic Eclipse) has been surfing at the top tables for over a year now, and it has been a hot topic in our community. The combination of ADP and Zacian V (Sword and Shield) has allowed this easy-to-play deck to succeed, but it's always been kept in check by other counters. One of those counters, Eternatus VMAX (Champions Path), has made this list, but one of the new cards from Chilling Reign changes that. Galarian Zapdos V (Chilling Reign) adds a Fighting-type Pokémon that can hit for a large amount of damage out of nowhere due to its Fighting Instinct Ability. That allows it to reduce its Energy requirement of Thunderous Kick to a single Fighting Energy! Combining this with drawing extra Prize Cards with Altered Creation, accelerating Energy into play, and a manageable Eternatus VMAX matchup makes this deck much better. Let’s check out this deck!

Rapid Strike Urshifu / Inteleon
Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX (Battle Styles) has been one of the most successful Pokémon decks from our last set release, and it even won the Players Cup 3! That version of the deck ran an engine including Jirachi (Team Up), Scoop Up Net (Rebel Clash), and a more traditional line of Supporter cards. This list, created by Jake Gearhart (@jakekgearhart), throws away those traditional elements for an entirely updated way to play the deck. Drizzle (Sword and Shield) and Inteleon (Chilling Reign) allow this deck to search for Trainer cards as needed and give this deck the option to snipe for extra damage. This new engine allows you to find the necessary cards for niche situations and properly plan the amount of damage you need to hit. The strategy does remain the same! You hit with Gale Thrust, G-Max Rapid Flow to set up KOs and wrap the game up with Multi Prize Card sweeps. It seems weird at first, but this deck magically works! Let's peep out this list.

Eternatus / Galarian Moltres
Eternatus VMAX (Darkness Ablaze) has been kicking it at the top tables for almost a year now, and it recently gained a hot new tech that changes the way it plays! That card is Galarian Moltres V (Chilling Reign) because you can accelerate Energy with its Direflame Wings Ability and then use Energy Switch (Sword and Shield) to move it to Eternatus VMAX. This Pokémon deck used to only play Crushing Hammer (Sword and Shield) to buy more turns, but it can now have answers to missing an Energy or an opposing Crushing Hammer heads. Additionally, this card gives the deck a built-in answer to Zamazenta V (Promo), which means you have a better matchup against Lucario & Lucmetal-GX (Unbroken Bonds) decks. However, the strategy remains the same - Bench a bunch of Pokémonwith Eternal Zone and attack for a lot of damage with Dread End. Let’s check out this list!
